Meet the 2024 Scottsdale Candidates: Their Stances on Biking and Transportation
Scottsdale has proudly maintained its Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly status since 2011, with extensive bike lanes, multi-use paths, and unpaved trails. However, when residents were surveyed last summer, many pointed to the lack of safe bike routes near their homes as a significant barrier to cycling.
As the city heads into a critical election cycle, where the office of mayor and three council seats are up for grabs, Bike Scottsdale reached out to the candidates with key questions on transportation, safety, and sustainability. Their responses offer valuable insight into how each candidate plans to shape Scottsdale’s future for cyclists, pedestrians, and all residents.
